Curriculum vitae
Jiří Šigut was born on 14 May 1960 in Ostrava–Vítkovice, then Czechoslovakia, to Vítězslav Šigut and Hildegard Šigutová (née Kolowratová). He attended technical school in Ostrava and Opava, where he temporarily lived from 1984 to 1986. In 1975—1994, he worked as a machinist, later as a technologist, and in the end as a construction designer at the Klement Gottwald Steelworks in Ostrava–Kunčice. A member of the Softheaded Group, he works as a graphic designer and lives in Ostrava.
